His clinical interest is in the domain of minimally invasive surgery for bladder, prostate and kidney cancers. He is also a strong advocate for improving oncological outcomes through multi-disciplinary care and clinical trials, and has led several investigator initiated studies to evaluate novel therapeutics and care protocols. In 2021, he founded the Running Men team comprising healthcare providers, cancer survivors and patient advocates who encourage the adoption of exercise and healthy living habits to enhance Men’s Health. In 2025, the team launched a book entitled “Man Up” focused on raising awareness of common diseases afflicting Asian men and dispelling misconceptions related to these conditions. In recognition of his contribution to quality care, he was presented the SKH You Sparkle Superstar award in 2023. In 2024, he was presented the Clinician Exemplar award at the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards for innovative clinical care, and the Singhealth Family Target Zero Harm Team award (as team leader). In 2025, he was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in the 2025 National Day Awards for his contribution to public healthcare. He is immediate past President of the Singapore Urological Association.
