Ms Zhuo Guoshuang is an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in the Department of Urology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from The University of Adelaide in 2011 and subsequently obtained an Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Medical-Surgical) in 2012. In 2016, she was awarded the Ministry of Health Manpower Development Plan Scholarship to pursue a Master of Nursing at National University of Singapore. In 2022, she completed the National Collaborative Prescribing Programme at the National University of Singapore and became a licensed collaborative prescriber. Ms Zhuo began her journey as a Continence Nurse Clinician in the Department of Urology in 2014, where she worked collaboratively with urologists to coordinate, plan, and deliver comprehensive urological care to improve patient outcomes. As an APN in Urology, she manages patients with general urological conditions and APN-led outpatient clinics, providing advanced clinical assessment, management, and continuity of care. Beyond her clinical role, Ms Zhuo actively contributes to quality improvement initiatives and is a member of the hospital workgroup focusing on the prevention and management of catheter-associated urinary tract infections. She is also a member of both the Continence Chapter and the Singapore Urological Association, where she works closely with multidisciplinary teams to advance nursing education and improve the standards of urology and continence care in Singapore.
