JeffChueh Taiwan

Jeff Shih-Chieh Chueh, MD, PhD is Professor and Chair of Urology at National Taiwan University (NTU) College of Medicine, and Chief of Urology at NTU Hospital. He previously served as a staff physician at Cleveland Clinic's Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute and clinical professor at Case Western Reserve University for 12 years. Dr. Chueh earned his MD from Taipei Medical University (1989), completed urology residency at NTU Hospital, and received fellowship training in renal transplantation under Dr. Barry Kahan at UT Houston. He subsequently earned his PhD from NTU. A pioneer in minimally invasive urology, he was the first surgeon in Taiwan to perform laparoscopic live-donor nephrectomy. He has published over 300 SCI-indexed articles, authored a Chinese-language laparoscopic urology textbook, and serves on multiple journal editorial boards. His research is supported by Taiwan's National Science and Technology Council.
