Adjunct Associate Professor Chua Wei Jin graduated from the University of Bristol, UK, and obtained his MRCSEd and Master of Medicine (Surgery, Singapore). He completed advanced urology training in 2006 and is currently Senior Consultant, Clinical Director, and Director of Endourology at the Department of Urology, National University Hospital (NUH). He also serves as Head of Urology at Alexandra Hospital and Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore.
A recipient of the Ministry of Health HMDP scholarship, he underwent subspecialty training at the Bristol Urology Institute. His practice focuses on minimally invasive surgery, endourology, and urologic oncology. He has led the adoption of key innovations in Singapore, including day surgery TURP and minimally invasive BPH therapies such as UroLift, Rezum, and iTind. He is actively involved in regional training and proctorship.
In recognition of his contributions to clinical service, education, and research, Adj A/Prof Chua was recently conferred the NUH-NUS Medicine Master Academic Clinician Award—an honour that celebrates excellence and leadership in academic medicine.
