Adjunct Assistant Professor Sharon Yeo is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Urology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She obtained her medical degree and Master of Medicine (Surgery) at National University of Singapore. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK, a certified specialist in Urology and a Fellow of Academy of Medicine Singapore. As a recipient of Ministry of Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship, she completed a Fellowship in Female Urology, Neuro-urology, Urodynamics and Reconstructive Surgery at the renowned Bristol Urological Institute, United Kingdom, under the mentorship of Professor Paul Abrams, Prof Marcus Drake and Prof Hashim Hashim. Recognized as a leading authority in Functional Urology, Urodynamics and Reconstructive surgery, she has played a pivotal role in advancing care through her leadership of the Tan Tock Seng Hospital Multidisciplinary Pelvic Floor Service for Voiding Dysfunction and Incontinence in both male and female patients, as well as the Urodynamics Service for stroke, spinal cord injury patients and those with other neurological causes of lower urinary tract dysfunction. She has published on her interest in Overactive Bladder Syndrome and Incontinence topics and has also been an invited speaker at international conferences and lecturer at many professional courses. She is active in patient education and has spoken in many bilingual public, nursing and GP forums. Her administrative leadership contributions include being past Head of the Department of Urology and appointments to the Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s Clinical Board and Clinical Ethics Board amongst others.
