Asst Professor Weida Lau is Divisional Chair of Surgery and Head of Department of Urology at KTPH, NHG Health Singapore. He is also the current President of the Singapore Urological Association (SUA). He holds the appointment of Assistant Professor at both National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Dr Lau is UK-Fellowship trained in Andrology and Reconstructive Urology. He is a key opinion leader in penile oncology, genitourethral reconstruction, male sexual dysfunction, and Minimally invasive surgical therapy (MIST) for prostate enlargement. He has published extensively and produced surgical videos on these subjects. As a surgical innovator, Dr Lau introduced low-intensity shockwave therapy (2018), Rezūm ablation of prostate (2021), UroLift (2022), and iTinds (2024) to KTPH for the treatment of men with sexual dysfunction and prostate problems. As HOD in 2025, he introduced MRI-US fusion prostate biopsy and transperineal rectal spacer insertion for prostate cancer.
