Assistant Professor David Terrence Consigliere studied Medicine at the University of Singapore and trained in urology in Singapore and in the UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons (Glasgow) and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Urology), Singapore. He set up the Section of Urology in Tan Tock Seng Hospital in April 1993 before moving to the Department of Urology, National University Hospital as senior consultant urologist and served as Chief of Urology from 2003 until 2010. He is currently Emeritus Consultant in the Department of Urology at the National University Hospital (NUH), and Assistant Professor of Surgery at NUS. Aside from clinical urology, Asst Prof Consigliere has served on several committees in NUH as well as on Ministry of Health Committees and Clinical Practice Guidelines workgroups. He has held leadership roles such as Singapore Urological Association (President), Chapter of Urologists (Chairman), Society for Continence (President), and Past Chairman of the Urology Residents’ Advisory Committee. Among the NUHS awards he has received, the most recent include: Outstanding Mentor award and Emeritus Consultant award, and the Singapore Urological Association Lifetime Achievement award.
