Deok-Hyun Han, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor of Urology at Samsung Medical Center and Chair of Digital Health at Sungkyunkwan University. He completed his medical degree at Seoul National University and his residency and fellowship at Samsung Medical Center.
Dr. Han specializes in advanced endourology and minimally invasive surgery. He has extensive expertise in treating urolithiasis via flexible ureteroscopy and percutaneous kidney surgery, alongside various laparoscopic and robotic procedures. Currently, his clinical focus centers on robotic platforms for retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) and robot-assisted upper urinary tract reconstruction.
As Chief Medical Information Officer and Vice Director of the Center for Data Innovation at Samsung Medical Center, Dr. Han extensively researches and integrates AI platforms into hospital systems. Furthermore, he serves as the Senior Director of the Academic Committee for the Korean Society of Endourology and Robotics (KSER).
